さらに建築フェスティバルつながりでメモ。
国立新美術館でやっていたスキン＋ボーンズが
ロンドンのEmbankment Galleriesで開催中です。
写真は、坂さんのカーテンウォールの家 (東京都板橋区)。
日程：2008年04月24日～08月10日
場所：Somerset House, Embankment Galleries
> これまであまり接点がないと見られていた建築とファッションですが、
> 1980年代以降、お互いの距離を縮め、刺激しあっているように見受けられます。
> 特にコンピュータをはじめとする様々な技術の革新が、自由な造形を可能とし、
> 表面と構造の関係に変化をもたらしました。
> ファッションデザイナーたちは、布を用いて、
> 構築的で複雑な衣服を作り始め、また建築の分野では、
> 仕立ての技術に通ずる、より複雑なフォルムを生み出しています。
> 本展覧会では、概念、形態、構成、技法などを切り口に、
> 建築とファッションに共通する特徴を視覚的に検証していきます。
> Discover the synergies between fashion
> and architecture from the 1980s to the present day.
> The exhibition explores how over 50 internationally-renowned
> architects and designers including Alexander McQueen,
> Vivienne Westwood, Comme des Garcons, Yohji Yamamoto,
> Future Systems, Frank Gehry
> and Zaha Hadid 'fashion' buildings and 'construct' garments.
> After huge success in Los Angeles and Tokyo,
> Somerset House brings this exhibition to Europe
> to open the new riverside Embankment Galleries.
